What We are Looking for: We are seeking people who are mature enough to understand and accept the responsibility of caring for other people's "children". This job can be a lot of fun and very rewarding but it does not involve sitting around playing with puppies all day. In the past we have found many people do not have a realistic view of what working in a dog daycare involves. It is physically challenging and mentally hard work. You will be removing dog urine and excrement. You will have to remember all the dog's names, sexes, and behavioral problems. You must be able to work as a team with the other employees and volunteers. Dog behavior must be closely monitored at all times to ensure that there is no fighting. While working here you may be exposed to excrement, loud noises, chemicals, parasites, and the ever present risk of being bitten, scratched, knocked down, and bruised. These are the potential hazards you accept by working here. Cleaning is a major part of every position at the daycare. If you get ill at the idea of cleaning up vomit and diarrhea, this is not the place for you. You will be on your feet most of your shift. You cannot be allergic to animal hair, sensitive to cleaning products or have any conditions rstricting your motions in the case of emergency. This can be a wonderfully rewarding job. Dogs can provide hours of laughter and will make you smile every day! Please respond in person or send your resume to above address.
